I had a fantastic stay at the Welsh Apple Barn in Chepstow. The hosts were incredibly friendly and provided helpful instructions for finding the barn. The location was perfect, offering a peaceful retreat while still being close to the shops in town. The barn itself was beautifully converted and tastefully decorated, with a fully equipped kitchen. I particularly enjoyed the green walks in the area. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space for two people. Despite a few minor issues with the thermostat and shower controls, my overall experience was excellent. I would highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone looking to explore the Wye Valley. I had a wonderful stay and would gladly return in the future.

I had an amazing stay at a beautiful converted barn in a stunning location. The decor was so stylish and cozy, making it feel like a real home away from home. The owners were also very prompt and helpful in their communication. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates, which was a lovely gesture. The facilities were excellent, with everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The barn was also in a convenient location for attending a wedding at Mathern Palace. I had a truly exceptional experience and I would definitely return to this property.

The only small drawback was the lack of a better outside seating area for summer stays. Other than that, it was pretty much perfect.

Amazing stay! Loved the stunning barn and its beautiful decor. The kitchen was excellent and had everything we needed. The whole place was so comfortable, we felt sad to leave. The location was perfect and convenient, and we enjoyed the peaceful and quiet setting. Sleeping like a log every night was a bonus. Can't wait to go back as a tourist!

Only downside was not having access to the keys on arrival, which was a bit inconvenient. The bed, although seemingly high quality, was extremely hard.

Our recent stay at Welsh Apple Barn in Chepstow was absolutely fantastic. The location was ideal for exploring the area and all the places we wanted to visit. The property itself was beautifully renovated and had every facility we needed. It was clean, well-maintained, and had a peaceful and serene setting. The hosts provided a lovely welcoming touch with a bottle of wine and chocolates upon our arrival. The attention to detail, such as the fully equipped kitchen and comfortable furnishings, made it feel like a true home away from home. We especially appreciated the helpful instructions provided before our arrival, which made finding the barn easy. I highly recommend Welsh Apple Barn for a memorable stay.

Although the bed had a seemingly good quality mattress, we found it to be extremely hard. Additionally, the stairs in the barn were quite steep, which could be a concern for guests who are unsteady on their feet.

The Welsh Apple Barn in Chepstow was a delightful little hideaway that exceeded our expectations. The property was beautifully furnished with reclining sofas and had plenty of occasional/coffee tables. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, pots, pans, and utensils. The under-floor heating throughout the barn was pure bliss. We loved the thoughtful touches, such as the 2 brollies and torch hanging by the front door. The information provided about the history of the place was enlightening, and the welcome gift of a bottle of rose wine and a box of chocolates was a lovely surprise. The peacefulness of the location and the timely communication from the owners added to the overall positive experience.

Felt free to seek any assistance, no complaints.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming barn conversion in the Welsh countryside. the location was idyllic, surrounded by green walks and offering a peaceful retreat. the barn itself was beautifully decorated and fully equipped, with a well-stocked kitchen and even a dishwasher. the under-floor heating throughout added an extra touch of luxury. the hosts provided thoughtful touches, including umbrellas and a torch by the front door. the information provided about the history of the place was fascinating, adding to the overall experience. A box of chocolates and a bottle of wine as a welcome gift were a lovely touch. the nearby Lidl shop was convenient for any necessary supplies.

The water pressure in the bathroom was a bit temperamental, making it difficult to get the water hot enough for a bath.
