I had a fantastic stay at the Welsh Apple Barn in Chepstow. The hosts were incredibly friendly and provided helpful instructions for finding the barn. The location was perfect, offering a peaceful retreat while still being close to the shops in town. The barn itself was beautifully converted and tastefully decorated, with a fully equipped kitchen. I particularly enjoyed the green walks in the area. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space for two people. Despite a few minor issues with the thermostat and shower controls, my overall experience was excellent. I would highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone looking to explore the Wye Valley. I had a wonderful stay and would gladly return in the future.

I had an amazing stay at a beautiful converted barn in a stunning location. The decor was so stylish and cozy, making it feel like a real home away from home. The owners were also very prompt and helpful in their communication. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates, which was a lovely gesture. The facilities were excellent, with everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The barn was also in a convenient location for attending a wedding at Mathern Palace. I had a truly exceptional experience and I would definitely return to this property.
The only small drawback was the lack of a better outside seating area for summer stays. Other than that, it was pretty much perfect.

Amazing stay! Loved the stunning barn and its beautiful decor. The kitchen was excellent and had everything we needed. The whole place was so comfortable, we felt sad to leave. The location was perfect and convenient, and we enjoyed the peaceful and quiet setting. Sleeping like a log every night was a bonus. Can't wait to go back as a tourist!
Only downside was not having access to the keys on arrival, which was a bit inconvenient. The bed, although seemingly high quality, was extremely hard.

We especially appreciated the helpful instructions provided before our arrival, which made finding the barn easy. I highly recommend Welsh Apple Barn for a memorable stay.
Although the bed had a seemingly good quality mattress, we found it to be extremely hard. Additionally, the stairs in the barn were quite steep, which could be a concern for guests who are unsteady on their feet.

The water pressure in the bathroom was a bit temperamental, making it difficult to get the water hot enough for a bath.
